Daugavpils University (DU) is looking for the lead partner and a Coordinator. We are interested in developing partnership with other Universities or organizations with the aim to promote strategies and practice in order to ensure a sustainability of integration process of senior immigrants in the community by helping them to overcome isolation and loneliness while integrating into a new social environment. The project aims at rebuilding social networking of senior immigrants by strengthening intergenerational ties. DU has a particular interest in detailed research about the determinants of social well-being among older immigrants in Latvia. The issues of integration faced by the senior immigrants have been for the most part neglected. We have an attempt address this issue by examining the aspects of integration of senior immigrants.

Daugavpils University (DU) is the biggest state educational institution in Eastern Latvia, which offers higher education programs in the Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Social Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Faculty of Music and Arts and Faculty of Education and Management. All programs are licensed and accredited. Our particular focus and interest are senior immigrants and their integration into the society particularly after the Covid 19. DU has a long-term experience of work with the senior immigrants from the 3rd world countries and their integration in the community thus rebuilding their lives and social networking. Daugavpils University has a rich experience of reorienting educational programs towards sustainability. DU implements sustainability as a whole institutional approach is its policy and practice, as well as in the process of fostering reintegration of immigrants in Latgale.
