E-Seniors is a french NGO based in Paris which is involved in healthy and active ageing initiatives through ICTs. We would be interested in cooperating in any of the topics and could offer an insight on issues such as seniors' loneliness, seniors' perception of their own physical and mental health, seniors' use and acceptance of new technologies and seniors' engagement in society and in intergenerational cooperation. Our institution could directly involve french seniors in all stages of the project contributing to enhancing its impact: validation of the research question, co-design of novel approaches with seniors, dissemination of outcomes to the senior population and creating general awareness among seniors and NGOs.
E-Seniors is a non-profit non-governmental organization, founded in 2005 that aims at fighting e-exclusion by offering ICT training to seniors (people aged 55 and over). Its main objectives are:
• to bridge the digital gap between generations,
• to foster seniors’ social participation,
• to promote healthy and active ageing
• to fight against ageism
It has a large experience in the management of projects related to ICT tools and healthy ageing financed by European programs, such as Horizon 2020 and Erasmus+
Through its actions for and with older people, E-Seniors also raises awareness about the importance of ICT solutions in everyday life.
Since its creation, E-Seniors provides ICT courses for seniors in various public places and constantly opens new courses all over the Parisian region, in order to provide proximity services taking into account the rhythm, the interests and the needs of its audience.
